How Can I Keep from Singing: Crucified with Christ and More than Wonderful

My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.  Galatians 2:20 (New Living Translation

I praise the Lord today because I have been made a new creature in Him.  He nailed my sins on His cross and set me free.  “Crucified with Christ” is one of those songs that reminds us that we have to lay down our own will daily and choose to follow Jesus.  There’s just no other way we can have any kind of relationship with Him if we don’t.

I first heard “More than Wonderful” when I was twenty-one years old.   Sandi Patty and Larnelle Harris have two of the purest voices I’ve ever heard.  This song brings chill bumps to me every time I hear it.  What is even “more wonderful” is that this is one of the songs Kelly and I love to sing together.  It’s a blessing to have a husband who not only has an amazing voice, but who unashamedly will sing with me to the glory of our Father God.  (On Easter Sunday, I have another Sandi Patty/Larnelle Harris duet to share with you!)

    1. THANK YOU, TRISHA! I am deeply honored. I consider this a huge vote of confidence. When I was little, I learned a song whose lyrics in part are: Jesus wants me for a sunbeam to shine for Him each day. That’s truly what I hope my blog does — shine for Jesus. It’s ALL about Him!

    1. Our Easter cantata is Sunday night. I am so thrilled to be singing “Crucified with Christ” as a duet with my good friend, Teresa. It’s all I can do not to burst out in tears of gratitude while I sing. I feel all “gooey” inside afterward because I know how weak I am, and how strong Jesus is. Thanks for stopping by, April!

  1. That is soo awesome. Enjoy your Cantata! We are having one too on Friday and Sunday so may God get all the praise this Week 😀

Bless you hun for this post
